TIME ON THE TIDE, PART 3; IN WAVES

And we kissed
and I took you in, in waves;
your breath, your body,
the smoothness of your skin,
the ease with which
my hands slipped
from thigh to burning heat,
lower, deeper,
aching for exploration
and my hunger rose
and I took a breath
and all that you are flooded me
with nothing but a longing
for more and more
of more.

TIME ON THE TIDE, PART 2; DRAWN TO THE DEEP

In sweeping sprays
the ceaseless sea
is savage to the shore;

bound and breathless,
always and evermore.

Living life on lucent lines
that linger on longing
but are lulled by the lullaby;

that constant cord caressing
the circle ever spinning by.

Ardent amoureux are we all,
ever eager to be eaten
and drawn to devotion,

never quite knowing
if we are the sea;

devouring

or the shore;

devoured by the desires
of our own creation.

TIME ON THE TIDE, PART 1; AND SO WE BEGIN

And so we begin; the light freshly falling
on newfound flesh, clouds breaking over
a sea breeze gliding in over giddy grass,
a giggle in its thrill, bright bodies bending
lending limbs to longing, every touch
a tiny tickle as naked truths twist and turn;
turn on, turn hot while hands draw hope
as we grope the layers, as we undress
a barrage of barriers now newly broken
on the floor by the bed with less room
but more comfort to caress, cum and cuddle,
each to the other a curious new creature,
new waves washing along the other; under,
over, into as we dare each other to dive
deeper, each breath a new scent to sink
below, a salty seduction, a sweeter sweatiness
like salt that settles in the afterglow
on the shore of this new light, bright
is the beginning, I want to say more,
but no, linger only in this fair light,
rare light, rare is the time for this light
that time will not spare, take time to taste
the temperature, between thighs we tumble,
between each pause we laugh lightly,
pulses pressing into parts pulsing, we learn
how far we can push, how deep we can dive
down, I rise up to speak again, but no,
not yet, be still, let us feel, let us feel
how much we can open up below
the light, this new light, just beginning.

MOVING INTO MÉNILMONTANT

A new place to call home… painting new tales onto old walls in Ménilmontant, Paris…

Before…

Yes, I do make cutouts of furniture from paper to see what will fit where (I am a patternmaker, afterall!!)

The Magic Team Stories Movers (hijacked friends)…

A light at the top…

Those now famed 5 flights up- no lift…

And finally, furnished and familiar…

A little home baking to make it truly home (Apricot and pistachio cake)

A place to write new tales…

A HOME FOR HOPE

There is a gentle light shining
in this place not yet home,
pouring hope into a hold
beginning to pull on my grip.

There is a light, a subtle light
adding a lightness to all
that is weighing; the furniture,
the fittings, the fitting into a city
that has not changed
during my absence while I
have not stopped,
a city often angry
as I search for a place
of solitude amid all that leans
towards arrogance, of comfort
to come in from the chaos
and the clutter and the claws
clutching at scraps in the cold
corners the commenters
are unconcerned with.

Tonight, there is a gentle light
to lay under and dream
of what will go where
in this house soon to be a home.

COMFORT IN THE CARDS

Behind the fanfare we fan the light
to make our way through another day
to night. Behind the fuss we muddle
through movement on route to contentment
caught in quiet corners of unconsciousness,
like that word on the tip of the tongue
we can’t quite pronounce.

On terra-cotta tiles I turn through cards
of comfort from days now distant,
wishes signed with love from names
I can no longer call in this light,
in this life. Far from the fanfare,
far from the fuss, you are all still
somehow a part of each movement
I make, distant stars now that once
held dreams, that once signed cards
of greetings, never thinking how much
one day, beyond the fuss, they would mean.

IN THE MOMENT

Today
we are together,

timeless

in this singular moment

of forever.

We are limitless;

soul entwined in hope,
hope entwined in love.

Today we are together.

Tomorrow is for fools to fret over.

TIME IS FLEETING

Time is fleeting.
See it slipping through hands
eager to clasp all that cannot be caught.
Time is fleeting
but this is not always tragic
for we are traffic motoring along
the carriage way in search
of contentment in accompanying cars,
meandering towards the midway
and making out with the magic
that caresses the quiet corners
of our day while all the time
time flitters forward.

FORGIVENESS

If you
are forgiving
to my omission
of carving your name
eternal upon my flesh

then I will
be forgetful
to the distance
you divined to draw
your own deceits upon skin

that wasn’t mine

as I forget you completely.
