It looks warm and colorful–beautiful, a bit prickly, and a bit ticky-tacky. 🙂 Hope you had a wonderful time!
It was amazing, an almost forgotten Hollywood backlot where mistresses and lovers were once wined and dined and… in secret. A huge amount of amazing design stores and vintage joints of possible mistresses’ belongings who went on the run when holidaying wives came a calling, amazing customer service and a divine ranch for us all to stay at! And Joshua tree National Park was so breath taking, and thankfully not too warm
It sounds wonderful!
Well that’s a change from wintry Paris isn’t it? Hope its revived the body and refreshed the soul Dami! Love all the different colours, shapes and textures, and also the fascinating Joshua Trees.. awesome! (ps. I actually managed a poem while you were away!)
It was a much needed break and so happy to have been there, even if I am back already but I am sparkling with joy and memories that are less prickly than the spines on the Joshua Trees
Bet you’re glad to be back! I love those arid landscapes though I’ve never seen the attraction in palm trees.
Oh so overjoyed to be back!!! Yesterday morning at 8.30am while I went for a little walk in San Francisco before flying home, 5 different people, all on their way to work, said hello to me as they passed by! On their way to work in rush hour and yet still they said hello to a total stranger who passed them on the street! Of course I did then take a buss back up to the Heights and sat next to two meth heads! Although he did also manage to say hello to me before telling his girlfriend that his mother was a no hoper any more, far too much meth in her lifetime to which is girlfriend replied; well she seemed fine when I lit up with her just yesterday!!!
Aren’t they supposed to be lovely in San Francisco anyway? I thought Palm Springs was Florida. Wasn’t San Francisco a bit of a trot?
That’ll teach you to use the bus service 🙂
There’s two Palm Springs, Florida and California. Thank fully I was in the California one which then gave San Francisco its sense 🤔🤭🤗
My ignorance. It’s true, that cactusy scenery isn’t very Florida.
More cactus and less crocodile; I think that’s how the locals distinguish the two. I did almost book a direct flight to the Florida one, just don’t tell anyone 🤭🤕
Or alligator versus armadillo. I won’t tell anyone except the dog and he isn’t judgemental 🙂
😂😂😂 thanks to you, the dog and the armadillo for keeping my secret 🙈🙉🙊
🙂
I’m envious if this is your vacation. The amount of snow we’ve been getting here is unbearable! I’d do anything for a quick trip away somewhere warm. Thanks for the escape 🙂
So glad you felt a little bit of the break! It was truly needed and so breath taking! And the service from everyone was exceptional! I cannot believe I am back already but have a much fuller heart xx
Good for you, my friend. So many people I know have escaped the frigid chill. Alas all I can do is dream. Best.
Hoping for you a little respite from the cold and snow, otherwise warm hugs on their way to you 🤗🤗
There is a particular light to the West coast. (K)
