I caught myself

captive

in chains

in a cold corner

of comfortless

complacency,

unconscious

to the cost

on my character

as I cut the cord

to connection.

  1. Connection to conviction? For me anyway, comfortless complacency would insulate me from connecting with my convictions. Thanks, your poem made me think and question, and I really enjoyed the alliteration as well!
