I wake up
to the stillness,
to the stillness of the silence,
to the stillness of the silence beneath the shadows,
to the stillness of the silence beneath the shadows in your absence,
still so present within all this emptiness
and then I realise
how much more room there is to breath.

Breathtaking. So still and so full of pain.
Thank you so much Jane.
Thank you also got the reblog. I felt rather proud of this one, small but it packed a house of emotions. Cheers, Dami
It does. My kind of emotions.
Reblogged this on Jane Dougherty Writes and commented:
Another of those poems that made me hold my breath.
Tender thoughts flowing from a heart ever so tender . . . Beautiful!
Thank you Peter
