I lay me down neath the constellation
as soul seeks shade from observation,
this sky full of stars my sweet salvation
though tumbling towards obliteration;
how beauty blazes before cremation.

I think Chagall would have approved of your poem.
Ah, thank you Jane. Of course it was your poetry prompt that originally brought this poem to life so I think he’d be pleased with you too 🙏
What a nice thought 🙂
I love everything about this Damien. (K)
Oh thank you Kerfe so much. This is a little jewel 💎
The Chagall ceiling is new to me.. it’s wonderful and the photograph beautifully taken. Feeling awestruck, and the verse is amazing. Wow!
Thank you Liz, I rediscovered this little gem today which Jane inspired a few years ago in one of her poetry prompts and it made me smile 😊 hope you’re both having a lovely weekend 🤗
Doing Monday already here and we had beautifully fine weather all weekend thanks, although Nigel had to work y’day – he needed the good weather for the job. Spring has arrived! 🙂
That ceiling is incredible, and your poem is wonderful, too.
I don’t remember this as a prompt from Jane, but I’m glad you re-discovered it. 🙂
