Gentle breath
All as yet an impression
Morning yawns with uncertainty
Thoughts flicker on skin
Hairs rise to signal the day
My body stirs to the stillness
Feathers flap
Cracks are caught in the concrete
Roads are not the only route

“Morning yawns with uncertainty” I especially loved. I’ve just read the latest post from an artist whose work I love, this post differs though, from her usual watercolour nature journal. Something about it touched a chord deep inside me. Would you please take a look and see if her sketch and photo touches a chord with you? I feel there’s poetry in it and wonder if you feel it too. If you don’t no problem, but if you do let me know. All the best, Liz At https://jeanmackayart.com/2018/07/25/woven/
Well I looked at Jeans delicate sketch and it certainly does seem to be bursting with tales to be told, I’ve jotted something down over lunch, in the heat, and will see what unfolds later on tonight. Hopefully it won’t melt. Thanks for the heads up Liz, I will ask Jean if maybe I can borrow her art to accompany the poem. To be continued…
I’ve just published the “Theme: Woven post”! I’ve given a link to your blog home and said you’ll be publishing shortly 🙂 Jean told me she’s given you the go ahead to include her sketch, wonderful! Looking forward to seeing your work 🙂 🙂
Just uploaded now. Such a wonderful opportunity to collaborate. Really enjoyed it Liz, thanks again. Enjoy the weekend 🤗🤗
I also like “morning yawns with uncertainty.” Anything seems possible then–stretch and flap your wings. 🙂
Hope arrived on the wing of the morning bird!!!
