Lilac showers
Parisian walls
to lift the day
from tones of grey,

colours whisper
to hungry minds
from lithesome leaves
to planting seeds,

branches bound
like blood to body,
to walls so willing
like veins now filling,

lilac leans
with leaves of green,
gently swaying,
thoughts are weighing,

nature bends
to hear my call
and pens take flight
on lines at night.

  1. WOW! What a wonderful start to my day here in New Zealand seeing this wonderful wisteria and just totally LOVING the accompanying poetry. Thank you so much Damien!

    • Well I am glad to send a whisper of Parisian wisteria all the way to New Zealand! I hope it adds light and a touch of loveliness to your day!! Best wishes damien

I couldn’t have had a better start to my day than seeing these beautiful photos of wisteria cascading down a building in Paris and reading the wonderful poem alongside. What a vision in mauve! Just had to re-blog! Photos and poetry by Damien B. Donnelly.

    • I am cyber sending you a little colour for the grey morning! I can send you some unnecessary heat too this weekend as the Parisian forecast is 32 degrees- that’s not something Paris can handle well- need to share!!

      • Hahaha. Thank you, Damien. You are a sweetheart and SO giving. 🙂
We had the heat last week–even a bit warmer–then it got cooler again. Stormy weather here this morning, so the color is welcome! 🙂
