Day 19 National Poetry Writing Month #NaPoWriMo
We set our belongings
down in the settings
we sit at tables
and share meals
once shared words,
Can you see them;
in quiet corners
we haven’t yet cluttered?
We set our hopes
down in places
lived lives maybe
they once witnessed
before they became whispers.
We are houses,
we are homes
we have settled

Very eloquently put. We share all our space with so many others.
Sometimes it gets cramped!!!
I like this one very much, Damien. The ghosts and echoes are all around us.
I absolutely Adore this one! The idea always in mind that we live in places already lived in, the memories, the history, carrying on a different story. So beautifully captured. Love the photo too! It reveals all I love about European homes.
That’s my living-room so the ghosts there hopefully help me write!!! X
I envy you there. Something about European locales I find so incredibly inspiring. Love the colour scheme too 😉
I love this. It has great meaning to me.
Thanks Alison. It means so much when people can connect with what you write! Big hugs x
