The below link is to my new short film/poem Dali Distractions on my YouTube Channel which comes from a poem in my Stickleback collection published recently by The Hedgehog Poetry Press. It is available here in the Bookshop, (link below). I made this video at the beach in Rush with The Mother again as camera girl, dolly grip and all-round picker-upper of run away hats and scarves. The poem is based on the Salvador Dali painting Young Woman at the Window and I have included a photograph of my watercolour detail of that painting which is a postcard that comes with the collection. There are 5 poems in the Stickleback, 5 poems based on 5 paintings I saw in 5 galleries, in 5 countries, with 5 different boys, in a time long before lockdown. I hope you enjoy…
This is my watercolour painting, a detail of the Dali painting which comes with the collection as a postcard…

And this is the link to buy the limited edition micro collection…

Many copies took their first flight yesterday after a signing and stamping session in the kitchen…

I am delighted to see on Twitter that this little baby has already found new homes, with thanks to Rhona Greene and Fidel Hogan Walsh for the photos and new homes…

Thank you so much to everyone for your joy and light and support. It means the world to me, Dami xx

Love it all. Love the video – love the poem – love the watercolour painting. The video is very clever. Well done. I’m looking foward to seeing the form of the poem on the page.

I’m having bank problems. Still trying to find my way around not having an account any more. (it’s a long story). Don’t go away, I’ll get back to you…

Oh goodness, and French banking too! Donโt even think about it. I already signed a copy for you today and it will be on the way this week as a thank you for being such a muse ๐๐๐๐๐๐

You shouldn’t have done! The problem isn’t just the bank it’s because I was born in the US (mother eloped) and it makes not the slightest difference to the US fiscal authorities that my mother whisked me home when I was four months old, I have never set foot in their godawful country and I have always been an Irish citizen. I am still a US citizen for tax purposes and as such should have been paying taxes in the US since I started work. Banks all over the world have orders from the US fisc to shop all people on their books who were born in the US and if said people can’t provide a US social security number (?????) and pay their taxes (already paid in France) the banks have to dump them as customers. Result, I have been dumped by my bank and all my accounts closed. It’s a hellish situation. But I’m lucky that I have a husband who’s prepared to give me pocket money and sweeties. Otherwise, I have no idea what I’d do!
